NewTel reaps benefit of OSI’s NETeXPERT®-based Solution
Aliant subsidiary joins sister companies using OSI’s fault and performance management
FOLSOM, Calif. and ST. JOHNS, Newfoundland, October 30, 2000 —
Objective Systems Integrators (Nasdaq: OSII) today announced that NewTel, an Aliant company, will extend Aliant’s use of NETeXPERT® to include the automation of fault and performance management of NewTel’s wireline, wireless, transport, and access networks. NewTel will also utilize OSI’s solution for real-time performance management of its wireline and wireless networks. NewTel is dedicated to providing excellence in communications and the company will use NETeXPERT to gain a consolidated view of network events, respond to problems quickly, improve service levels, and plan for network growth proactively.
NewTel, a wholly owned subsidiary of Aliant Inc. (TSE: AIT), supports the complete spectrum of voice and information-handling services including local and long distance, dial-up and dedicated high speed Internet, e-commerce and multimedia, cellular digital paging and high-speed data communications.
