Gerry Pond: "IT is economic engine for growth"

In a luncheon address to over 200 members of the St. John's Board of Trade, Gerry Pond argued that the IT industry presents great potential for economic growth in rural and remote locations. Citing xwave's growth and the training available for young people in Newfoundland as two examples of success, Mr. Pond outlined what this industry means and how it can present new opportunities to the Newfoundland business community.
