An important message from Aliant
As a result of the recent storm approximately 4,000 customers are currently without phone service in several Nova Scotian communities. These communities are primarily in the Annapolis Valley and Yarmouth areas including: Salmon River, Whites Corner, Harbourville, Scots Bay, Baxter’s Harbour, New Albany, Port George, Lake George, Lake Paul, and Morden.
Fire departments or local ambulance stations may be able to provide assistance to people in these areas in case of emergencies and customers may also have access to cellular service.
Aliant’s employees are working to restore service as quickly as possible. Additional Aliant employees have been brought in from Cape Breton, New Brunswick and Prince Edward Island to assist. Aliant will continue to work until service is restored to all customers and the company expects the majority of customers’ service will be restored within the next 24 hours.
To report telephone service outages please call 611.
Aliant apologizes to customers for any inconvenience.
